How I can help
I bring a mix of illustration, story, design training and hands-on picture book experience to every project I work on.
When I read a manuscript, I start building the world around it. The setting, the emotion, the movement, and all the little visual details that help the story connect.
My work combines traditional watercolour and pencil with an intuitive, emotionally led approach to storytelling. I also bring a background in visual merchandising, where I learnt about perspective, composition, colour theory, shape, space and how to guide the eye.
I have facilitated picture book critique groups, judged children’s writing and illustration entries, contributed feedback to emerging creators, and continue to learn through courses, reading, mentoring and being active in the kidlit community.
